This project, generously funded by the Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) under the Designation Development Fund, seeks to preserve and create access to the Ladybird and George Bell collections, which are held by the University of Reading (see
www.reading.ac.uk/special-collections). These form part of the Archive of British Publishing and Printing, which is officially Designated as an outstanding collection.
The project will include a full conservation survey of the publishing collections held at the University, enhanced cataloguing, and a new session for schools. Details of volunteering opportunities and other ways to get involved in the project will be posted here in due course.
